Two-Tiered Deck Remodel in Cicero
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE
Two-Tiered Deck Remodel in Cicero
The homeowners wanted to expand their useable outdoor living space. Originally the 14′ x 14′ deck didn’t provide much room for dining, lounging and grilling. Now the two different deck spaces provide so much more outdoor living space for family and friends. The cable railing lends a modern, airy look with less maintenance than wood railings.
Custom Sunroom Addition Cicero
A Full Bath + Home Office Retreat
Our homeowners were thinking ahead. They created a master suite upstairs in this spectacular attic conversion, knowing they are going to want their aging parents to live with them in the future. The renovation created enough space for a king sized bed, two built-in bedside bookcases, and a beautiful walk in shower. Right now it’s being used as an office for a historian, but the possibilities are endless for this eclectic, modern remodel.
The Bender Homes team was able to build a new three-season room from scratch, as well as replacing the roof and painting everything inside. We also landscaped around their current decking area while adding an exterior door for easier access.
Second Story Addition in Carmel
Three Season Room
We designed a space that not only offers amazing views, but also provides the perfect mix of comfort and convenience for our homeowners. Just what they were looking for to enjoy all of the beautiful weather.
The second story addition was a completely new add on to the house. This meant that the space had to be framed, plumbed, wired for electrical and include an exterior entrance. After the shape of the roof line changed a new roof was added along with windows and skylights.
New Build - Garage Addition in Noblesville
CUSTOM DESIGNED NEW BUILD
A Barn Style Garage for the Toys & Pups
The homeowners came to us in need of a place to store their lawn equipment and park their vehicles. A space that could keep their dogs shaded while in the yard and be a large storage space for their large lot of land.
We collaborated with the homeowners to create a barn like exterior for the garage. Together we worked through several ideas to make sure the garage addition was functional for their lifestyle and needs. There needed to be a porch area for the dogs to have shade while out in the yard, a pass through back door was important for exiting the garage after bringing in vehicles and the rider mower, and finding the right shade of red was on the top of the list.
FINISHED ATTIC BEFORE AND AFTER
From Storage Space to Entertaining Space
A family in Carmel wanted to convert their attic, mostly used for storage, into a space that had a full bathroom, a home office for her, a play space for the kids, and an epic theatre spot for everyone.
The attic conversion took some creative design because of a large air handling unit and mechanical ducting that needed to remain where they were. The full bath was already pre-plumbed saving them money right from the start. A window bench seat was installed over a mechanical duct and a wall went up to hide the air handling unit.
The speaker niche, office nook, and kitchenette were all custom made to accommodate the uniqueness of this project. The home owners provided the theatre equipment including the 120″ framed projector screen.
Composite Deck Addition in Noblesville
Composite Deck Addition
Outdoor living space is a high priority in Noblesville. Even more so, when you live by the water. We were contacted by homeowner’s who wanted to replace their existing deck. They needed something that was very low maintenance and that’s why we choose composite decking.
For the new design we enlarged the original decks square footage, giving us multiple seating arrangements. We installed not one, but two fire features, a Malm exterior fireplace and a stone gas fireplace in the seating area.
In order to keep the deck low maintenance, our design team used Zuri decking product. This composite material has a 25 year scratch & color warranty. To create an almost seamless view of the water we installed a stainless cable railing system.
A few other key design features were the gas lamps, no more light bulbs to replace; the ipe roof for the gazebo, and the LED lighted steps.
